Antique Serpentine Walnut Chest of Drawers

A beautiful vintage walnut chest of drawers with an elegant traditional design and a wonderfully warm, richly figured timber finish.

The chest features three full width drawers, each fitted with decorative brass drop handles and escutcheons. The drawer fronts have an attractive serpentine/curved profile, allowing the natural figuring of the walnut to become the main feature of the piece.

Particularly appealing are the shaped bracket feet and gently curved lower apron, which give the chest a refined period character and elegant proportions.

The highly figured wood displays beautiful swirling grain and tonal variation, creating a rich, luxurious appearance that would complement both traditional and more contemporary interiors.

Ideal for bedroom storage, hallway, living room, dressing room or as an elegant occasional chest.

Good condition with signs of age and use, including minor marks, scratches and variations to the finish. The timber has developed an attractive natural patina. Please see photographs for condition and detail.

There is also a toughened glass top which can be used.

A matching larger chest is also available. See photos of other piece.
